GRAND MAGUS Part Ways With Drummer

Sweden's GRAND MAGUS, who feature in their ranks current SPIRITUAL BEGGARS frontman Janne Christoffersson, have parted ways with drummer Fredrik "Trisse" Liefvendahl. "His replacement will be announced when the time is right," the band write in a statement. "Trisse has been in GRAND MAGUS for eight years and will always be a part of the band's legacy. We wish him all the best for the future.

"GRAND MAGUS will now start writing new material. Expect more news very soon."

GRAND MAGUS' third album, "Wolf's Return", is available now on Candlelight Records (via a licensing deal with Rise Above). The band recorded the CD in Stockholm with producer/engineer Oneman.

GRAND MAGUS's sophomore album, "Monument", was issued in the U.S. in 2003 through The Music Cartel.
